Section 20
Registration of nomination papers
(1) The candidate's nomination paper must be submitted by the candidate himself or his representative or proposer or supporter to the concerned election officer.
(2) The election officer concerned shall check whether the nomination papers submitted in accordance with sub-section (1) are duly submitted in accordance with this Act and, if duly registered, shall give a copy thereof to the person bringing the nomination papers for registration.
(3) If someone brings for registration a nomination paper that has no proposer or supporter, repeats the proposer or supporter, does not have a bond as per this Act, does not have the signature of the proposer or supporter or the person who is to be a candidate, or is otherwise incomplete, the election officer shall register such nomination paper by forcing him to correct the incompleteness. will fall If someone wants to register the nomination paper without correcting the irregularities in this way, he should mention the same in the nomination paper and inform the person who registered the nomination paper.
(4) Other documents to be submitted along with the nomination paper shall be as specified.
(5) The election officer shall publish the list of candidates whose nomination papers have been registered on the date, time and place specified in the notification of the election program after the deadline for filing nomination papers.
